Welcome to DHOCH'S Reef Tank web site. Here hopefully you'll learn a little about my tank, and share in my joy of bringing some of the Ocean into my home.

My tank is designed as a mixed reef with a combination of soft corals, hard corals, both Large Polyp Stony Corals (LPS) and Small Polyp Stony Corals (SPS), reef invertabrates, and fish. There is no overall theme to the tank other than what I think is neat.

This site is still a work in progress and should change fairly often. If like what you see, or you don't, feel free to pop me an email dhoch@danj.com. Let me know and I'll keep you updated as the site gets updated.

2008-01-12Just finished a massive update of which corals are alive, dead, fraggable and new to my corals section. Still some corals not listed as I don't have pictures, but it's a lot more complete at this point.
2008-01-03No overall note here for a while, and my pics are months out of date, but I've been quite busy with work. I've got updated pictures but I want to modify my method of uploading them so I'm going to work on redoing some stuff on the website.

That being said I did embed the tank cam on the Tank Cam Page. You still need Java 2.0 to view but now it's not a seperate page to pop up.
2007-01-11I'm updating my corals page. Two new features:
  • Corals that I can frag now will have text saying fragable over them.
  • Those corals I no longer have in the system are showing as "Expired".
2006-08-14Added a guestbook. Please go sign it and leave comments.
2006-06-12Ok a major coral update has gone up. As well as previews of pics on the main coral pages. A nice little enhancment if I do say so myself.
2006-03-15I've expanded the sps and softie section with many more of my corals (but there are still more to do). I've also updated the lighting readings to add teh first week readings. About the same, slight increase even in the PAR in the tank.
2006-03-13I've updated the corals section adding some softies, and a single SPS. I also added my newest fish, a Scott's Fairy Wrasse, he's gorgeous so go check him out. In addition I've added a miscellaneous section where I have information on the PAR readings of my T5 bulbs... I will continue to update this section on a weekly basis as well as adding new information.
2006-01-28Updated fish due to death of Tank. Also I fixed an error in the calculation of sunset. Equipment pages updated with some pictures as well as updated information.
2006-01-22I've added a current date as well as a sunrise and sunset time that my reef uses to turn the lights on and off on the left hand side of the web pages. More info on this will come in the equipment pages.
2006-01-17I've updated the fish section of the web site adding 2 new fish: 1 is my newly added Sailfin tang, and 1 is my Mandarin that I've had for a while, but missed him on the original update. I've also added a corals section, but currently only the LPS section is populated.
